QUEZON City 1st District Rep. Arjo Atayde has vehemently denied allegations that he received commissions from flood control projects undertaken by companies owned by Sarah and Curlee Discaya.
Atayde’s denial comes after he was named in a joint sworn statement by the Discayas, who claimed he was among those who received kickbacks from government projects.
“Hindi po totoo ang mga akusasyon na ito,” Atayde stated, firmly rejecting the claims made against him. He emphasized his commitment to ethical conduct and public service, asserting, “I have never used my position for personal gain, and I never will.”
Atayde has vowed to take legal action to clear his name and hold those responsible for spreading what he calls “falsehoods” accountable.
“I will avail of all remedies under the law to clear my name and hold accountable those who spread these falsehoods,” he declared. This strong response underscores the seriousness with which Atayde is treating the allegations and his determination to defend his reputation.
