“This initiative is a very big help to the Philippine National Police in terms of enhancing our mobility capability. Ito ay di lamang po napakalaking tulong sa ating PNP but to the community they serve as well,” PLTGen Danao said.

Police Major General Ronaldo E Olay, Director for Logistics and Chairman, NHQ Bids and Awards Committee (BAC) presented the vehicles to Senator Juan Edgardo Angara who was ably represented by Congressman Rommel Rico T Angara of the Lone District of Aurora Province during the ceremony this afternoon in Camp Crame, Quezon City.

According to PMGen Olay, the eight Personnel Carriers will be distributed to eight municipal police stations of Aurora Province namely, Baler, Dingalan, Casiguran, Dipaculao, Dilasag, Maria Aurora, Dinalungan and San Luis, while the three light transport vehicles were intended for PNPA and PNTI.

“Sa ating walong Municipal Police Stations na mapalad na makakatanggap nitong mga sasakyan, sana ay pakakaingatan at gamitin ninyo ito ng maayos para matagal pa ninyo itong mapakinabangan,” Danao reminded.

Danao also acknowledged the presence of seven municipal mayors from Aurora province as he expressed his gratitude for the continued support of LGUs to PNP, particularly to logistical needs of our local PNP units.

“In behalf of the 225,000 men and officers of the Philippine National Police, we would like to express our utmost gratitude especially for those vehicles, sana po ay di kayo magsasawang tumulong para sa ating mga kapulisan,” Danao further added.
