THE National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said on Tuesday the reported death toll from Severe Tropical Storm Paeng has reached 112, while 34 individuals are still missing.
The NDRRMC added that 82 of the deaths have been confirmed, while 30 are still being validated.
Most of the reported fatalities are in BARMM, with 61 confirmed dead, followed by Region 6 with 18 confirmed fatalities, and three in Region 12.
The agency said at least 103 individuals were also reportedly injured, of whom 65 confirmed injured and 38 still being validated.
A total of 751,800 families or 2,491,316 persons were affected, according to the NDRRMC.
Of which, 52,541 families or 189,392 persons were inside 2,724 evacuation centers and 278,562 families or 691,100 persons were outside evacuation centers, it added.
The NDRRMC said a total of 432 road sections and 103 bridges were affected, while 294 cities and municipalities affected power supply, and 17 areas affected water supply.
It said at least 7,040 damaged houses are reported in Regions 1, 2, 3, MIMAROPA, 5, 6, Region 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, CARAGA, BARMM, and CAR. Of which 5,409 were partially damaged while 1,631 were totally damaged amounting to P12,761,000.
