P4.5M worth of kush, cake vape bars seized

THE Bureau of Customs-Port of Clark, under the leadership of its District Collector, Atty. Ricardo Uy Morales II, CESE, turned over seized High-Grade Kush Marijuana and Marijuana by-products worth P4,573,450.00 to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region III on July 20, 2023.

The turned-over substances included 2,318 grams of High-Grade Kush Marijuana which was seized last July 11, 2023, 100 pieces of assorted FRYD extracts, 100 pieces of assorted cake vape bars, 120 pieces of Pack Man and 30 pieces of FRYD vape cartridges, 16 pieces of Persy Full Spectrum THC extract, and 150 pieces of assorted FRYD vape pen which positively tested to contain Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC)/Marijuana based on PDEA chemical laboratory analysis.

Said items were seized by the Port of Clark on various dates for violation of Sections 118 (g), 119 (d) and 1113 (f) of R.A. No. 10863 or the Customs Modernization and Tariff Act (CMTA) in relation to R.A. No. 9165 or the Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. Hence, said prohibited substances were turned over to PDEA for proper disposition.

“These seized illegal drugs and substances are the result of the continued and intensified campaign of the Port of Clark against prohibited drugs. We remain firm in guarding our borders to prevent these products from reaching the consumers and ensure safety of the public,” said District Collector Morales.

The Port of Clark recorded an aggregate seizure of illegal drug amounting to a total of P125.852 million from January 2023 to date as it remains consistent with the mandates of Commissioner Bienvenido Y. Rubio and the directives of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
