ITINANGGI ng Kamara ngayong Martes ang umano’y sinabi ng isang program host na umabot na sa P1.8 bilyon ang travel fund ni House Speaker Martin Romualdez.
“Fake news. Walang katotohanan,” sabi ni Secretary General Reginald Velasco.
“These allegations are a clear example of fake news, designed to mislead the public and tarnish the reputation of the Speaker and the entire House of Representatives as an institution,” sabi ni House Secretary General Reginald Velasco.
“We urge the public and the media to exercise caution and verify facts before sharing such baseless claims. The House of Representatives is committed to transparency and accountability, and the Office of the Secretary General can confirm that such a bloated amount for the Speaker’s travel expenses does not exist,” dagdag pa nito sa statement na inilabas Martes ng gabi.
Idinagdag pa ni Velasco na naninilbihan ang Kamara sa publiko ng may intergridad at magpapatuloy na tutugon sa tungkulin at hindi magpapaapekto sa mga fake news at maling impormasyon.
Sinabi ng isang television host nitong Lunes na ang kanyang source ay mula rin umano sa Kongreso at ibinunyag ang naturang halaga sa pagbibiyahe umano ng Speaker.
