THE OCTA Research on Friday said that Metro Manila is now at very low risk status for COVID-19.
OCTA Research fellow Guido David said on his tweet: “Based on our metrics, the NCR (National Capital Region) is now classified as very low risk.”
Metro Manila, in OCTA’s data showed Metro Manila only had 138 average new cases from November 26 to December 2 this year, lower than the 416 average cases from the same period last year. Meanwhile the reproduction number of COVID-19 in the region is currently 0.36, the average daily attack rate per 100,000 individuals is 0.97, and the positivity rate is at 1.2 percent.
Based on the COVID-19 tracker of the Department of Health (DOH), Metro Manila currently has 3,434 cases of the disease while the country has 15,188 cases. On Thursday, the DOH reported 104 new cases in the capital region and 564 in the entire country.
