NATIONAL Capital Region Police Office Chief, PBGen Jose Melencio Nartatez, Jr. led today, November 2, 2023 the Heroes’ Welcome and awarding of medals to the 298 members of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion, (RMFB) who were earlier deployed to augment the recently concluded Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) 2023 in the provinces of Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
Nartatez extended his commendation and expressed his recognition of the heroism and perseverance of the RMFB contingents for their unfaltering commitment to duty for the BSKE 2023.
“On behalf of Team NCRPO, congratulations! You have been the vanguards of Team NCRPO. What you did there put a mark that anywhere else, kaya natin maglingkod at gampanan ng maayos ang ating trabaho o misyon na panatilihin ang kaayusan at kapayapaan lalo na ang pagsiguro sa kaligtasan ng ating mamamayan.”
First batch of contingents arrived safely today, November 2, 2023 at the Villamor Air Base aboard C-295 aircraft and poker planes while the second batch of contingent aboard the C130 will arrive before the day ends or early morning of November 3, 2023. Meanwhile, PBGen Allan Nobleza, Regional Director, PRO BAR led the send-off ceremony of RMFB contingents to Manila at the Datu Abdullah Sangki, Sports Complex Maguindanao del Sur.
Moreover, 26 Police Commissioned Officers (PCO’s) completed the contingent where they were assigned to lead five teams who were deployed to the Municipalities of Maguidanao specifically in Datu Piang, Pagalunan, Pandag, Rajah Buayan, and Sultan sa Barongis.
The augmentation of RMFB personnel to PRO BAR provided additional force to perform election-related duties such as enforcing the laws, rules and regulations, assisted Comelec staffs, and provided security to polling centers and other places of convergence in particular.
Most members of the contingent completed the rigid and rigorous Basic Internal Security Operations Course (BISOC) for crucial undertaking of rendering election duties. They also underwent General Orientation and Special Electoral Board (SEB) seminar conducted by PRO BAR and Comelec’s Election Officer.
Nartatez also acknowledged and express equal commendation to all NCRPO personnel who rendered respective duties and performed other tasks in various polling centers and in places of convergence in the National Capital Region.
