AROUND 108,400 pieces of motor vehicle plates arrived Tuesday at the Land Transportation Office-Philippines, the first batch from the total of 16,040,630 plates to be delivered by the winning bidder Trojan-Tonnjes Joint Venture.
Secretary Jaime J. Bautista said the government saved Php 1.4 billion for the said procurement due to the agency’s transparent and competitive bidding process, which is in line with the DOTr’s steadfast commitment to serve the public.
“There are many things that we can do to serve the motorists and passengers. We can make their life more comfortable by implementing reforms, having efficient operations, and offering excellent services,” Bautista said.
The transport chief also said a total of around 500,000 MV plates will be delivered by the first week of August.
