FORMER Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) agent Jonathan Morales was ordered detained for contempt at the Senate for his continuous lying before the chamber.
Senator Jinggoy Estrada made the motion on Monday after he supposedly caught Morales in a web of lies.
Senator Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa, chairman of the Senate panel on dangerous drugs leading the probe on the allegedly leaked PDEA documents, accepted Estrada’s motion.
The documents repeatedly mentioned in the hearing pertains to an alleged PDEA’s Authority to Operate and a Pre-Operation Report dated March 11, 2012 against high profile personalities linked to illegal drugs.
Morales was the signatory to the alleged documents.
