NEARLY P60 billion in health emergency allowances (HEA) have been release by the government to Covid-19 frontliners, according to President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Wednesday.
In a Facebook post late Tuesday night, Marcos said the government made the move to show how it values its frontliners.
“Alinsunod sa ating pangako, naipamahagi na ng ating administrasyon ang P59.8 bilyon o 78.92 percent ng COVID health emergency allowance sa ating mga bayaning frontliner!” Marcos said.
Marcos said the announcement comes as the nation observes the Health Workers’ Day.
The President said during the pandemic, Filipino healthcare workers were able to show that they could serve wholeheartedly, displaying Filipino excellence.
