SPEAKER Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez today welcomed Manila Mayor Maria Sheilah “Honey” Honrado Lacuna-Pangan and former Marikina Rep. Romero Federico “Miro” S. Quimbo to the fold of Lakas-CMD, the biggest political party in Congress and the country.

Speaker Romualdez, Lakas-CMD president, administered the oath of membership separately to Lacuna and Quimbo during simple rites held at the Social Hall of the Speaker’s Office in the House of Representatives Tuesday afternoon.

In his message during the oath-taking ceremony, Speaker Romualdez highlighted the strategic importance of the new members in bolstering the party’s support for the programs and policies of President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr.

“We are honored to welcome Mayor Honey Lacuna and former Marikina Congressman Miro Quimbo into the Lakas-CMD family,” said Speaker Romualdez, leader of the 300-plus strong House of Representatives.

Speaker Romualdez expressed confidence Lacuna and Quimbo would provide significant contributions in upholding the principles and objectives of Lakas-CMD, reinforcing the party’s dedication to serving the Filipino people.

“Their leadership, experience, and commitment to serve our people greatly enhance our collective efforts to support the Agenda for Prosperity of President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. and his vision for ‘Bagong Pilipinas’,” Speaker Romualdez said.
