Mandatory facemask sa mga seniors, immunocompromised sa indoor places, labag sa Bill of Rights- KSMBPI

NANINIWALA si Dr. Mike Aragon, Chairman ng Kapisanan ng Social Media Broadcasters ng Pilipinas, Inc. (KSMBPI) na isang paglabag sa Article 3 Section 1 ang ipatutupad na mandatory facemask sa mga indoor place, public utility vehiches sa mga senior citizens at mga immunicompromised indibidwal dahil walang batas na nagtatakda dito.

Sa ginanap na Kapihan sa Manila Hotel sa koordinasyon ng sinabi ni Aragon na labag sa Bill of Rights ukol sa karapatang malayang makapamuhay ng isang indibwal ang puwersahang pagpapasuot ng facemask.

Ang pahayag ni Aragon ay batay na rin sa rekomendasyon ng legal team ng KSMBPI kung saan suportado ng dating pangulo ng Philippine Medical Association (PMA) at Clean Air Philippine Movement Inc. (CAPMI) President na si Atty. Leo Olarte at dating senador Joey Lina.

Bagamat hindi siya tutol sa pagsusuot ng facemask bilang proteksyon laban sa COVID-19, dapat lamang na may kaukulangang batas ang dalawang kapulungan ng Kongreso na ipinasa at nilagdaan naman ng Pangulo ng bansa upang sa ganoon ay hindi malabag ang karapatan ng isang indibidwal.

Ikinatuwa naman ni Cebu Mayor Mike Rama ang naging desisyon ng pamahalaan na sundan ang kanilang naunang hakbangin na gawing voluntary o optional na lamang ang pagsusuot ng mask.

Aniya ito ang nakita nilang solusyon maibalik ang sigla ng ekonomiya mula sa dulot ng pandemyang COVID 19. Kaugnay nito pabor din si Dr. Benito Atienza , Vice President, Philippine Federation of Professional Associaton (PFPA) sa pagsusuot ng facemask laban sa COVID 19.
