I know where he is hiding but I won’t tell where.
Thus, said former President Rodrigo Duterte when asked where his friend Apollo Quiboloy is hiding.
Quiboloy is facing arrest warrants for child abuse and qualified human trafficking, a non-bailable case, and police efforts to nab him have so far proved futile.
“Alam ko kung saan si Pastor. Pero secret (I know where the pastor is. But it’s a secret),” Duterte told reporters in Tacloban.
Duterte, who has been appointed administrator of the properties of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ, also said that if the religious group leader does not want to surrender, then he should just keep on hiding.
He went on to criticize the attempt to arrest Quiboloy in his Davao properties, which involved the deployment of numerous policemen.
According to him, the police top brass could have called him beforehand, knowing that he is a friend of Quiboloy’s.
He could have advised Quiboloy to allow the policemen to enter the properties, he said.
