SPEAKER Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez today said the participation of 45 House members, most of whom from Mindanao, in the launch of the two-day Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair (BPSF) in Sultan Kudarat showed the chamber’s solidarity with President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr.’s effort to bring prompt service to the Filipino people.
Romualdez, who led the kick-off of the BPSF in the province, said the event “demonstrates our unity and determination to serve our people, bring government service directly to them and make life easier and better for them.”
The Sultan Kudarat BPSF is the biggest such event so far since the service flagship program of President Marcos Jr. was launched last year.
“We stand together in our commitment to uplift every Filipino. Despite our political divergence, our collective aim remains resolute – to construct a Bagong Pilipinas that leaves no one behind,” Speaker Romualdez said.
“Our substantial presence here at the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair underscores the broad-based support for President Marcos’s decisive leadership in addressing the country’s most pressing challenges,” he said.
Speaker Romualdez stressed that the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair aims to enhance public service delivery, foster community engagement and tackle pressing national issues.
It is a one-stop shop where government agencies in the regions like the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Department of Labor and Employment (DoLE), and Land Transportation Office (LTO) deliver assistance and service instantly to the people, and where residents can directly transact business with such offices, he added.
The leader of the 300-plus-strong House pointed out that agency officials and knowledgeable personnel would be on hand to attend to the concerns of residents.
Among the Mindanao lawmakers who attended the BPSF in Sultan Kudarat include: Reps. Migz Nograles, Christian Unabia, Bambi Emano, Lordan Suan, Toto Suansing, Yasser Balindong, Divina Yu, John Flores, Khymer Olaso, Aldu Dujali, Joboy Aquino, Wilter Palma;
Sam Santos, Peter Miguel, Ed Lumayag, Alan Ecleo, Mannix Dalipe, Maricar Zamora, Bingo Matugas, Steve Solon, Glona Labadlabad, Pinpin Uy, Victoria Yu, Nelson Dayanghirang, Munir Arbison, Antonieta Eudela, Loreto Acharon, Alfelito Bascug, Mohamad Paglas, and Jason Almonte.
Majority Leader Manuel Jose “Mannix” Dalipe, Senior Deputy Speaker Aurelio “Dong” Gonzales, Jr., Tingog Partylist Rep. Jude Acidre, and 4Ps Partylist Rep. JC Abalos were also present to support the Sultan Kudarat BPSF.
The Sultan Kudarat leg of the BPSF was the 12th Serbisyo Fair to be held since it was launched last year.
It was also the first Serbisyo caravan in Region 12 or SOCCSKSARGEN, and benefitted around 150,000 residents of the province. (END)
