THE lead chairperson of the House of Representatives Quad-Committee Rep. Ace Barbers declared the looming arrest to be issued against Pharmally-POGO queen Rose Lin after her consecutive absences to the committee hearings.
“We will again extend another invitation for Ms. Rose Nono Lin and she has sent a letter as to why she was absent for the hearing scheduled and para naman po na hindi lumabas na tayo po ay nanggigipit, bibigyan po natin ng pagkakataon…but with a promise that in the next scheduled hearing it will give the committee grounds to cite her in contempt. And of course and kasunod po ng contempt ay ang order to arrest her,” Barbers said.
The Committee Secretariat confirms that Lin is already in the Philippines as reflected in the travel record submitted by her legal representatives from Montecillo and Ongsiapo Law Offices.
Lin had appeared before Quadcom for the first and last time in November, which established the links between the illegal operations of POGO and Pharmally Pharmaceutical that engaged in the overpricing of medical supplies during the Duterte administration.
Lawmakers also pointed out that she lied through her teeth as she answered under oath regarding her history with husband, suspected drug lord Weixiong Lin aka Allan Lim.
According to Lin, she had known her husband in 2009 when in fact they already had a daughter in 2002. This was reflected on a birth certificated posted in the official Facebook of their daughter that was recently deleted “to cover their tracks.” She also denied the whereabouts of Allan Lim after the Quadcom extended the invitation to him and face all allegations pertaining to illegal drug trade and crimes committed by their POGOs.
Abang Lingkod party-list Rep. Stephen Paduano also confirmed that Rose Lin is in the country. Lin has been busy campaigning for her congressional candidacy in Quezon City yet she failed to attend Committee hearings.
The Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC) earlier issued a warning against “POGO politics”. According to PAOCC spokesperson Dr. Winston Casio, “Meron pa rin ‘yang POGO politics na ‘yan, kasi ‘yung mga Chinese na nandiyan sa tabi-tabi, mga Chinese criminal syndicates,” who might be sponsoring aspiring politicians.
Commission on Elections (Comelec) Commissioner George Garcia committed to look into source of funds of alleged POGO politicians this coming elections. A move which will prevent the Chinese syndicates from infiltrating the government that could bring back the nightmares brought about by POGO crimes and corruption.
