THE House of Representatives on Saturday held the first day of RT-PCR testing for House Members, Secretariat officials and employees, congressional staff, as well as service providers.
This is in compliance with the safety requirements mandated by the Presidential Security Group (PSG) for President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.’s first State of the Nation Address (SONA) to help ensure the safety of attendees against COVID-19.
Lawmakers and Secretariat officials took the test at the South Wing Annex, while employees and congressional staff were swabbed at the RVM Building.
For individuals who dropped by yesterday, they could expect to receive their results on July 24, Sunday at 5pm at the latest. The first day of testing was held from 1:30pm until 7pm. There would be another schedule tomorrow from 7am until 12nn to guarantee that results arrive before the annual big event on Monday.
