PURSUANT to the call of Speaker Romualdez for the House of Representatives to continue its hard work, the chamber on Tuesday unanimously approved on third and final reading a total of 39 local measures, aimed at further introducing development in various cities and municipalities in the country.
These bills would provide for the 1) establishment of marine hatcheries, 2) inclusion of certain lands in the National Integrated Protected Areas System, 3) creation of district engineering offices, and 4) declaration of tourism destinations and ecotourism sites, among others.
The House also adopted the following measures : 1) House Resolution 883, congratulating and commending Michael Harris Conlin for winning the silver medal in the signature coffee latte category and the bronze medal in the signature coffee brewer category, using Philippine coffee beans, at the 2022 Global Coffee Championship held in Kintex, South Korea; 2) HR 928, expressing the profound condolences of the House of Representatives to the family of the Honorable Albert Ferreros Del Rosario, former Secretary of Foreign Affairs and Philippine Ambassador to the United States; and 3) HR 949, in consolidation with HR 946, expressing the profound condolences of the House of Representatives to the family of the Honorable Carlos M. Padilla, Governor of the Province of Nueva Vizcaya and Former Deputy Speaker and Representative of the Lone Legislative District of Nueva Vizcaya during the 8th, 10th, 11th, 12th, 14th, 15th, and 16th Congresses.
