THE Health department announced on Sunday that 848 new Covid-19 cases in the country have been logged, increasing the total Covid-19 tally to 3,700,876.
DoH latest data revealed the new COVID-19 infections were the highest single-day tally since March while active cases increased to 6,761 from 6,425 on Saturday.
The number of recoveries climbed to 3,633,096, while the death toll rose to 60,518.
In the last two weeks, DoH said the regions with the most cases were the National Capital Region with 3,701, followed by Calabarzon with 1,302, and Central Luzon with 650.
The Health Department said at least 17,193 individuals were tested, while 308 testing labs submitted data on June 25.
The DOH noted that the bed occupancy in the country was 17.7%, with 5,270 beds occupied, while 24,431 were vacant.
Earlier, the DOH placed Pasig City, Quezon City, San Juan City, Marikina City and the municipality of Pateros under moderate risk for Covid-19.
Moderate risk means a city had a positive two-week growth rate (TWGR) and average daily attack rate (ADAR) of at least 6 average cases per day for every 100,000 individuals.
