NEWLY-ELECTED Congressman Kenneth Gatchalian, even before officially assuming office at noon on June 30, 2025, has already laid the groundwork for his signature initiative: the “KENkonek” program.
As the name suggests, “KENkonek” is designed to establish a strong connection between the congressman and his constituents. The program aims to create regular platforms for dialogue with various sectors, including the youth, educators, persons with disabilities (PWDs), senior citizens, barangay workers, and other socio-civic groups.
Through these ongoing conversations—ranging from public forums to focused small-group discussions—Rep. Gatchalian hopes to better understand the needs and concerns of his district. These insights will help inform and guide his legislative agenda, ensuring that the measures he proposes are grounded in the real experiences of the people he serves.
In line with this initiative, the KEN Lingkod Center was officially opened. Located at the Valenzuela City Trade Center along MacArthur Highway in Barangay Malinta, the center operates from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
The center serves as a dedicated hub for constituents seeking various forms of assistance, including medical aid, burial support, livelihood and employment assistance, educational and scholarship programs, and other essential services.
The newly elected lawmaker acknowledges that his responsibilities in Congress are not an excuse to pause his service to his district; instead, they further strengthen his commitment to his Valenzuelano constituents.
