THE Presidential Security Command (PSC) has been tasked with investigating a serious threat to the life of the President after the Vice President publicly revealed an alleged plot to assassinate the President.
In a statement released by the Presidential Communications Office, the Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin confirmed that the Vice President had made a clear and unequivocal statement that she had contracted an assassin to kill the President if a supposed plot against her succeeded.
“Any threat to the life of the President must always be taken seriously,” the statement read, emphasizing the gravity of the situation. “The Executive Secretary has referred this active threat to the PSC for immediate and proper action.”
The statement did not specify the nature of the alleged plot against the Vice President or the identity of the contracted assassin. However, the gravity of the situation has prompted the acting President to order a comprehensive security review.
