TRANSPORTATION Secretary (DOTr) Jaime Bautista tested positive for COVID-19, said the agency Friday.
“Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista has tested positive for COVID-19. He is now in isolation, and is exhibiting mild symptoms of headache and cough,” DOTr said.
Bautista, despite his condition continues to work in isolation. He is experiencing mild headache and cough. “Secretary Bautista continues to perform his duties, and is in constant communication with his staff,” the DOTr said in a statement.
This comes a week after Bautista inspected the agency’s programs in anticipation of the return to face-to-face classes, when it is expected that more commuters will be using public transportation.
