Social media reports of a worldwide health emergency have been refuted by the Philippine Department of Health (DOH).
The DOH statement makes it clear that these assertions have not been verified by credible sources, such as the World Health Organization (WHO) and the nation that is supposedly impacted.
Additionally, the Chinese Embassy in the Philippines has called the posts that are becoming viral “fake news.” According to these posts, hospitals and cemeteries are being overrun by a new influenza A, HMPV, mycoplasma pneumoniae, and COVID-19 outbreak in China.
