THE National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) confirmed the discovery of important documents inside three vaults opened during a search warrant operation at the Taguig City condominium of former Ako Bicol Party-list Representative Zaldy Co on Thursday, December 11.
NBI Spokesperson Atty. Palmer Mallari declined to disclose the specific contents of the documents but stated that they are expected to aid in the investigation of anomalous flood control projects.
In addition to the documents, authorities also recovered P10,000 in cash inside Co’s condominium unit.
The NBI is currently preparing an inventory sheet of all collected evidence and will submit a Post-Operation Report to the Taguig City Regional Trial Court (RTC), which issued the search warrant. The investigation is ongoing.
