NEWLY-appointed Public Works Secretary Vince Dizon has requested the Department of Justice (DOJ) to issue an immigration lookout bulletin for 26 individuals allegedly involved in “anomalies” in flood control projects across the country.
The request aims to prevent these individuals from leaving the Philippines while investigations are ongoing.
Among those named in Dizon’s request, announced on Wednesday, are Assistant Regional Director Henry Alcantara and contractors Curlee and Sarah Discaya.
The list includes government officials, engineers, and owners/representatives of various construction companies.
The government is currently investigating alleged irregularities in flood control projects across various regions of the country, and the immigration lookout bulletin is intended to ensure that those potentially implicated in the “anomalies” remain available for questioning and further investigation.
