This was according to an individual named ‘Diablox Phantom’ on X, formerly known as Twitter who has claimed responsibility for hacking the websites of several government agencies.
Diablox Phantom further said they hacked the websites of the Philippine National Police, the Philippine Statistics Authority, and the Department of Science and Technology.
“Ang gamit ko ay open source intelligence at manual ang pagkalkal ng directories,” added the hacker.
nformation and Communications Technology (DICT) Assistant Secretary for Legal Affairs Renato Paraiso said the agency is aware of Diablox Phantom, and the Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center is probing the hacker’s identity and claims.
“This is to confirm that the DICT is aware of this personality,” Paraiso told reporters on Wednesday.
The DICT earlier said there may be an inside job involved in the hacking incident of PSA as the affected community-based monitoring system was only accessible internally.
