NAIS ni dating pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na makipag-usap kay Pangulong Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Jr. hinggil sa umano’y imbestigasyon sa Sonshine Media Network International (SMNI).
Sa isang press conference, sinabi ni Duterte na hindi pa sila nakapag-uusap ni Apollo Quiboloy sa isyu at nais lamang umano niyang tulungan ang religious leader dahil apektado na rin umano ito ng imbestigasyon sa programang “Gikan sa Masa, Para sa Masa”.
“I do not want to control the President but rather I want to talk to him indirectly,” sabi ni Duterte.
Pag-aari ang SMNI ng Swara Sug Media Corporation at broadcasting arm ng Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KJC) na pinamumunuan ni Quiboloy.
“One of these days I will come up with a statement not necessarily defending Pastor Quiboloy but just to say something about the way things are,” dagdag pa ni Duterte.
Taliwas din umano ang dating pangulo sa desisyon ng National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) decision na imbestigahan ang SMNI.
Wala din umanong nakikitang mali si Duterte sa panig ng broadcasting company.
“The NTC have not come up with any allegations or charge of any wrongdoing,” ayon kay Duterte sa miyembro ng Davao media.
Nag-isyu ang NTC ng 30-araw na suspensiyon sa operasyon ng SMNI dahil sa sinasabing mga paglabag sa prangkisa nito.
Humiling na rin ang panig ng SMNI na bigyan sila ng palugit ng hanggang Enero 21 upang makapaghanda at sagutin ang lahat ng alegasyon.
