CRIMINAL charges alleging physical assault and grave threats have been filed with the Department of Justice (DOJ) against Davao City 1st District Representative Paolo Duterte.
The complaint, filed on April 26th, stems from an incident that allegedly occurred on February 23rd at a Davao City bar.
The complainant, Kristone John Patria, a Davao City resident, claims that Representative Duterte, while intoxicated, threatened him with a knife and repeatedly headbutted him. The severity of the alleged assault, coupled with the perceived ongoing threat to his safety, has prompted Patria to seek legal recourse.
The sworn statement detailing the incident was executed before the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG).
