SENATOR Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go, chairperson of the Committee on Health and Demography, called on the public to continue wearing face masks in light of the reported global rise of respiratory illnesses recently.
Go emphasized during Monday’s committee hearing, December 18, 2023 that wearing of face masks helps prevent the spread of respiratory illnesses, such as influenza, mycoplasma pneumonia (walking pneumonia), and COVID-19.
“As the chairman of the Committee on Health and Demography, I encourage everyone, especially high-risk individuals and those with comorbidities, to voluntarily wear face masks,” Go said. Voltaire F. Domingo
