THE Commission on Elections (Comelec) proclaimed 52 party-list groups as winners in the recently concluded 2025 national and local elections. The proclamation, held at the Manila Hotel Tent City, initially anticipated 54 winning groups, but the Comelec suspended the proclamation of Duterte Youth and Bagong Henerasyon, which secured three and one seats in the House of Representatives, respectively.
Akbayan Partylist emerged as the top vote-getter in the party-list race, earning three seats in the 20th Congress. Tingog Partylist also secured three seats.
The following is a breakdown of the winning party-list groups and their allocated seats:
Three Seats:
- Akbayan (2,779,621 votes – 6.63%)
- Tingog (1,822,708 votes – 4.34%)
Two Seats:
- 4Ps (1,469,571 votes – 3.50%)
- ACT-CIS (1,239,930 votes – 2.96%)
- Ako Bicol (1,073,119 votes – 2.56%)
The Comelec did not provide a reason for the suspension of Duterte Youth and Bagong Henerasyon’s proclamations, stating only that the matter is under review.
The decision has raised questions and is expected to generate further discussion. The full list of winning party-list groups and their respective vote counts is available upon request from the Comelec.
