Christmas remains a season of love, hope despite challenges

admin December 25, 2021

OPPOSITION Senator Leila M. de Lima called on Filipinos to show love and compassion towards each other and thank God for the gift of life despite the challenges and difficulties faced during the Yuletide season.

In a message, De Lima, who is spending her fifth Christmas in unjust detention based on trumped-up charges, said Christmas will always be a season of hope, love and humility.

“Lagi’t laging may agam-agam at pangamba.

Aside from the threat of COVID-19 pandemic, Typhoon “Odette” recently brought destruction in central and southern provinces almost a week before Christmas, leaving many homeless, orphaned, and dealing with devastating losses in terms of human lives and access to basic necessities.

As such, De Lima urged fellow Filipinos to pray for each other during these tough times.
