SENATE President Chiz Escudero (center) administered the oath of office to the newly-elected officers of the Senate Spouses Foundation Inc. (SSFI), led by its president Love Marie Ongpauco-Escudero, popularly known as Heart Evangelista, on Wednesday, June 5, 2024.
Aside from Evangelista, SSFI’s new set of officers are Ms. Kathryna Yu-Pimentel (Vice President and Chairperson, Committee on Social Events); Ms. Maricel Tulfo (Secretary and Chairperson, Committee on Public Assistance); Mr. Teodoro Misael Llamanzares (Assistant Secretary and Chairperson, Committee on Finance and Logistics); Rep. Lani Mercado-Revilla (Treasurer); Taguig Mayor Lani Cayetano (Chairperson, Committee on Arts); Mr. Mark Lapid (Chairperson, Committee on Ways and Means); Issa Baraquel (Chairperson, Committee on Youth & Women); Undersecretary Emmeline Villar (Legal Counsel and Chairperson, Committee on Environment); Ms. Marielle Padilla (Public Relations Officer); and Ms. Nancy Dela Rosa (Public Relations Officer).
In a short message, Evangelista expressed hope to make a difference, and to inspire not just the members of the SSFI but also important groups and individuals who have the power to improve the lives of Filipinos.
“I am bravely taking on the duties (as the newly-elected SSFI President). It is inspiring to see what we can all accomplish with the kind of changes we can all make together,” Evangelista said.
