THE Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) confirmed on Saturday that another Cessna plane has gone missing.
The CAAP said the plane – Genav Cessna 340A with tail number RP-C2080 — disappeared in Camalig, Albay, and the last contact was made at 6:43 a.m. on Feb. 18.
The aircraft departed Bicol International Airport at 6:43 AM and was carrying four persons on board, a pilot, a crew, and two passengers. The flight was bound for Manila
The plane was expected to land in Manila International Airport (RPLL) at 0753 (7:53 a.m).
The last contact to the missing Cessna 340A aircraft was at Camalig Cement Plant while flying at 2,600 ft at around 0648 and was instructed to report 20 miles out of RPLK. After several minutes, the CAAP Control Tower was trying to contact the plane but no response was given.
The missing Cessna 340A six-seater business aircraft was piloted by Captain Rufino James T Crisostomo Jr. (PIC) with Joel G Martin (Crew) and two passengers identified as Mr. Simon Chipperfield and Ms. Karthi Santanan, both Australian citizens.
The authorities advised the residents near the area to report to the authorities for any sightings of the missing Cessna 340A six-seater business aircraft (RP-C2080).
