THE Commission on Appointments (CA) led by Senate President and CA Chairman Juan Miguel “Migz” F. Zubiri confirmed the ad interim appointments of 129 generals and senior officers of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, Tuesday, March 19, 2024.
During the plenary session, Zubiri made it a point to approach the AFP officers and personally condole with them on the loss of four Army troopers in Maguindanao recently. He also thanked them for keeping the peace throughout Mindanao.
“Maraming maraming salamat po sa serbisyo ninyo sa inang bayan. We owe you the democracy and the freedom we are enjoying today. And our hearts go out, me personally, I deeply sympathize. I would like to condole with the four army troopers that perished in Maguindanao two days ago. Being the author of the Bangsamoro Organic Law, it pains me to see still these insurgents in the name of religion, trying to terrorize our forces,” Zubiri said. Voltaire F. Domingo
