AT least 5.37 million delisted voters have been reminded by the Commission on Elections (Comelec) to reactivate their registration until the end of the month.
“We discovered that there are 5.37 million people who cannot vote because they are deactivated,” said Comelec Commissioner George Garcia in an interview on Super Radyo dzBB. “This means they were not able to vote in two consecutive elections, in May 2022 and this October 2023 barangay and SK elections.”
Garcia urged voters to reactivate their registration by September 30, emphasizing that there will be no extension. “We need to be wise and reactivate our registration,” he added.
Those who wish to reactivate online can reach out through the official email addresses of the Offices of Election Officer nationwide, which are available on the official Comelec website.
“For those who cannot go to the local offices, we have extended the online reactivation until September 25,” Garcia said. “Online reactivation can be done on our website.”
For those who miss the online deadline, they can still go to local Comelec offices until the end of the month. “They can just go to our local Comelec offices where they can find the reactivation form,” Garcia said.
Previously, Comelec reported that over 600,000 deactivated voters have already applied for reactivation for the 2025 national and local elections (NLE).
Meanwhile, data from the Comelec shows that the number of new registered voters for the 2025 NLE has reached over 6.2 million.
