OVER 1.2 million doses of Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccine arrived in the Philippines on Saturday morning at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 1 (NAIA 1). A total of 1,279,000 doses arrived via a China Airlines flight. The arrival at past 10am was the additional batch of vaccine supply and welcomed by the National Task Force against COVID-19 head of Strategic Communications on Current Operations Assistant Secretary Wilben Mayor, US Embassy Political Counselor Kenneth Gardner, Health Undersecretary Ma. Carolina Vidal-Taiño, and Zuellig Pharma Market Managing Director Jannette Jakosalem. Mayor said the latest Moderna vaccine supply will be allocated for the inoculation of adolescents, minors, and senior citizens and will be distributed nationwide. The 1.279 million Moderna vaccine doses are procured by the government, he added.
