THE family of slain policewoman Diane Marie Mollenido has withdrawn their criminal complaint against her husband, John Mollenido.
According to a report by Pilipino STAR Ngayon, Quezon City Police District Director PCol. Randy Glenn Silvio confirmed that Diane Marie Mollenido’s sister, Daisie Gabres, filed the motion to withdraw the case.
Despite this development, Silvio noted that police would continue the investigation. “But continuous ‘yong investigation and case build-up kasi meron pa tayong gustong malaman at meron pa tayong mga gagawing hakbang,” Silvio said, adding that Mollenido’s electronic devices will be examined through a cyber warrant.
On Feb. 3, DILG Secretary Jonvic Remulla said the murder case of the policewoman and her son, John Ysmael, has been considered closed as the suspects have been identified.
These include Pia Katrina Panganiban, Christian Suarez Panganiban, Maribel Suarez Panganiban, and Gil Valdemoro Dy Jr., who allegedly served as an accomplice. The mother and son were last seen on Jan. 16, and their bodies were found in separate locations in Bulacan and Tarlac. A car transaction is believed to be the motive for the killings.
