SENATOR Ramon ‘Bong’ Revilla Jr. on Wednesday denied reports his car was apprehended within the Carousel Bus Lane.
Revilla, in a statement, said that his daily route was from South to the Senate and that he could never be in EDSA – Mandaluyong City.
“There is absolutely no truth to the malicious report that I was apprehended using the EDSA carousel busway,” said Revilla.
“My daily commute is from the south to the Senate and there is no possibility I will be on EDSA in Mandaluyong. When attending official functions in the north, I take the skyway from and back to the south,” he further said.
Revilla said that he would ask the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) to explain why his name was “being dragged and smeared.”
Reports said that the car with plate number “8” was apprehended on Wednesday morning along the EDSA Mandaluyong carousel lane.
Ret. Col. Bong Nebrija, head of the Task Force Special Operations (TFSO), said traffic authorities released the apprehended vehicle after confirming that it was the car of Revilla and the senator was inside the vehicle.
Revilla also said that he would summon Nebrija to the Senate.
