VALENTINE’S Day proved to be an unfortunate day for a wanted rapist following his arrest by operatives of the Quezon City Police District’s (QCPD) Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit (CIDU) under Major LorettoTigno, at his residence in Quezon City.
Tigno identified the fugitive as Nelson Piaje, 48, of ROTC Hunters, Tatalon in Galas, who has been listed as the QCPD’s No. 1 Most Wanted Person based on a pending warrant of arrest for the crime of rape.
Arresting officers said that Piaje did not resist arrest after the arrest warrant, issued by QC Regional Trial Court Branch 91 presiding judge Kathleen Rosario D. Dela Cruz-Espinosa with no bail recommended, was served and the suspect was peacefully taken into police custody.
