THE Manila Police District has been directed to dig deeper into the foiled attempt to bring destruction by throwing a grenade at the entrance of a cockfighting arena in Manila.
Police elements from the Sta. Ana Station immediately responded to the report about the threat of a discovered grenade.
As they arrived in the area, the vicinity was cordoned off and police personnel successfully disrupted the explosive.
Accordingly, the duty security guard saw the suspects on board of motorcycle scooter with an unknown plate number, past 6 p.m. on January 27.
“Something is suspicious about a series of untoward incidents happening in cockfighting arenas. Aside from the grenade, our police are also looking into the disappearance of several individuals who were last seen in arenas,” PNP Chief Police General Dionardo Carlos said.
The PNP is trying to establish the connection among these incidents. Currently, investigators are coordinating with the village officers to track the culprit using every available CCTV recording.
Nobody was hurt in the incident.
