THE Philippine National Police arrested two big-time drug dealers while three kilograms of suspected shabu worth P20.4 million were seized in Taguig City drug operations.
In a statement, the PNP identified the alleged drug dealers as Basser Utto and Normina Datuan.
PNP chief Police General Rodolfo Azurin, Jr. said the suspects were arrested during an Oplan Sita conducted last Tuesday, December 13, by the elements of Taguig City Police Sub-station 7 in Brgy. Maharlika.
Authorities confiscated from the suspects around 60 sachets of suspected shabu, weighing at least 3,000 grams with SDP value amounting to P20.4 million, along with a unit of gracy-colored Vios vehicle.
“Utto is the leader of criminal gang Utto Group responsible in the proliferation of illegal drugs in Taguig City and nearby Cities in Metro Manila,” the PNP said.
“The confiscation of these illegal drugs through Oplan Sita manifests the keen resolve of the PNP in pursuing the national government’s flagship program against illegal drugs. We, in the PNP, will do our part to free our society from the claws of drug abuse,” Azurin said.
The PNP said charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 have filed against the suspects.
