A PERSON of interest allegedly connected to the death of Adamson University student John Matthew Salilig was found dead, according to Laguna Police Director Col. Randy Glen Silvio on Friday.
Silvio said the person of interest was found dead by hanging.
Silvio said that the person of interest had died on February 28, the same day that Salilig’s body was found and news broke in media outlets. Salilig was found in a shallow grave in Imus.
The person of interest was said to be the driver of one of the two vans who transported the body of Salilig in a vacant lot in Imus, Cavite.
Salilig, a 24-year-old chemical student, died after the initiation rites held in a house in Laguna. Reports said, he suffered a seizure going back to Manila and died along the way.
Instead of bringing the victim to a hospital, members of the Tau Gamma Phi, decided to bury Salilig in a vacant lot in Cavite.
