TWO female Singaporeans were arrested after yielding suspected cocaine worth P76.1 million at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).
Based on an initial report of the NAIA Inter-Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group, about 14,360 grams of the white powdery substance suspected to be cocaine were confiscated.
The arrested Singaporean nationals, aged 63 and 39, were inbound passengers from Doha, Qatar.
The hundreds of pellets containing the substance were stuffed in the packaging of cookies and chips in the guise of “pasalubongs” or gifts.
The suspicious items were checked following the X-ray inspection process.
