RAIDS conducted by agents of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) on commercial establishments in Metro Manila resulted in the confiscation of counterfeit branded clothing and personal accessories valued at P25.5 million.
The operations were carried out following the execution of eight search warrants by NBI-National Capital Region (NBI-NCR) teams in Tondo, Manila, and Hulong Duhat, Malabon City.
Among the seized items were imitation Vans, Under Armour, and Dickies products, collectively valued at approximately P14,672,700.00.
In a separate operation on August 14, 2023, NBI-NCR executed ten search warrants against two stalls at 168 Shopping Mall and four stalls at 999 Shopping Mall.
This initiative resulted in the seizure of counterfeit merchandise from the same brands, amounting to a sum of P10,826,639.00.
The NBI is urging the public to refrain from supporting counterfeit products, aiming to curb the demand for imitation goods.
