FACE-TO-FACE Classes in all PUBLIC SCHOOLS in elementary and high school, as well as in Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM) and Universidad de Manila (UDM) from Thursday, May 2, until Friday, May 3, 2024, are suspended due to extreme heat index forecast.
Said public schools are directed to adapt ANY ALTERNATIVE MODE OF LEARNING as it may deem appropriate.
Suspension of face-to-face classes for private schools in all levels, as well as national public institutions of higher education, shall be left to the discretion of their school administration.
However, Mayor Honey Lacuna encouraged all schools to implement any alternative mode of learning as it may also deem appropriate.
This is due to the forecasted DANGER heat index of 45°C according to the Manila Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office.
