A FIRE broke out in Block 36, Barangay Addition Hills, Mandaluyong City, on Monday morning, January 19, destroying at least 100 houses.
The fire quickly escalated to the third alarm due to the rapid spread of flames among the houses, which were primarily constructed from light materials. The barangay estimates that approximately 200 families have been left homeless as a result of the blaze.
Firefighters managed to bring the fire under control past 9 a.m. Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the fire.
