A 72-year old woman and her 37-year-old nephew were found dead inside their home in Quezon City.
Police said the aunt and nephew were already in the early stage of decomposition when discovered by police in Barangay Greater Lagro at around 10 pm on Wednesday.
Probers said the man had not reported to work for several days.
Authorities broke into the house after noticing a foul odor and found the remains in the early stages of decomposition.
They said they received a report from the man’s co-worker that they had not received a response when they knocked on the house.
According to his co-worker, he had not reported back to work for several days after filing for a sick leave last April 25.
Probers said there were no signs of forced entry into the house and the victims’ personal belongings were all intact.
The investigation of the authorities is still ongoing.
