THE Philippine National Police (PNP) in Parañaque City arrested two suspects in a carnapping case at the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX) last March 5.
At around 3 p.m., a certain Shua Hu, a Chinese national, went to the Police Station to report the theft of his White Toyota Altis vehicle while parked on the 3rd floor of PITX.
Three hours later, the duty parking cashier alerted their security officer, France Cadano, of the same vehicle that entered the Pro Parking area of PITX.
Onboard the vehicle was Long Fei Yuan, 21, a Chinese businessman, and Randy Solsoloy Obiar, 38, the Filipino driver bodyguard of Yuan.
Immediately, Cadano held the occupants of said vehicle and recovered from Obiar, a one black sling bag containing one caliber 9mm Armscor pistol with four magazines and 53 ammo and one Swiss knife.
Meanwhile, confiscated from Yuan was one black sling bag containing more than P1.2 million cash.
“The active security alert system of the PITX greatly helped in apprehending the suspects. The synergy between the security officer and police authority is proof of a community working together to burb any form of criminality. We will now do the profiling of the suspects,” PNP Chief General Dionardo Carlos said.
The PNP prepares the charges of Carnapping and violation of Republic Act 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Act in relation to the Omnibus Election Code.
