A PAIR of five-year-old twins died after a fire hit their home in Tondo, Manila.
According to Jamie Santos’ report on “Saksi,” their nanny Jaquelyne Ragos said she ran up to the second floor of the house after she heard the twin sisters cry out.
She said she saw the room already on fire and could no longer get to the twins
The children’s nanny went down for a moment, and that was when the fire suddenly broke out on the second floor, where the children got trapped.
The children’s nanny was not able to save the twins as the fire quickly consumed the second floor which was made of wood.
The BFP raised the first alarm at 2:21 p.m. and immediately put it under control at 2:43 p.m.
Firefighters extinguished it at 3:09 p.m. .
Firemen said they looked for the twins while they were still putting out the fire.
The children’s mother repeatedly went inside the house to look for them.
