THE Philippine National Police (PNP) arrested on Sunday, May 1, three Chinese nationals following a complaint of alleged illegal detention.
According to the initial report of the Tambo Police substation in Parañaque City, the victim, Ding Fengfeng, 35, was illegally detained by the suspects for not paying his debt and demanded money amounting to P5 million in exchange of his liberty.
Police immediately acted upon a citizen’s report seeking for police assistance to rescue the victim.
The three suspects were identified as Kevin Shi, Lu Shunguang, and Cau Jun.
“The call for help was quickly resolved accordingly due to the active response of our police personnel. Proper documentation and disposition of the suspects are underway,” PNP Chief General Dionardo Carlos said.
