MEMBERS from the Department of Agriculture (DA) and the Philippine National Police-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP-CIDG) seize boxes of frozen fish during an inter-agency operation at a cold storage facility in Navotas City on Friday night.
Boxes of pampano, cream dory, galunggong and other frozen fish were allegedly imported illegally into the country by “technical smuggling” for not paying the proper taxes and securing the needed permits, according to the DA.
The operatives arrested the cashiers and a houseboy.
